Faith in Jesus Christ, is something precious and unmovable. Don’t become fixated on things that you can’t change or control. One person can make a difference in one person. It's only hopeless when you focus on the things you can't do. When we fix the things we can fix, we will have faith for the big stuff. What's the point if there's no point? There's always something we can do.
Life didn't humble Jesus, He humbled himself, submitted himself in obedience. He continually processed the cost of being obedient. The successful path from obscurity to fame is not something to go after. We need to be mindful of others and lay our lives down even, if it costs us something. This is who Jesus is and this is what he needs us to be. Find something that you can do, find someone to serve. The hope in change will not be in the political process. The way up is unlike the world's way up. If you're preoccupied with life there's no room for the Holy Spirit and you will miss opportunities. When we are preoccupied we can't be ineffective for the kingdom and become hazardous to ourselves and others. If we can be set free and do the things we can change, there is freedom that comes and we will be able to help someone else.
Peter lost sight of Jesus and doubted him. We can't follow Jesus by believing in ourselves. Faith is just believing the word and receiving the finished work. It should never become about us. Peter is the hero of our faith because he failed. Even if there's a failure in your life, let it go. Don't get caught up in the failure. Let Jesus lift you back up and be the miracle worker that Peter was. It's not about your failures. Jesus can turn our failures around for their good and His glory.
